Lantern House

This classic post and beam private residence was designed by Vancouver-based modernist architect Fred Hollingsworth in 1950, and is part of Hollingsworth’s Neoteric collection in North Vancouver. The current custodians took possession in 2024 and sought to reinterpret the main level interior for a growing family and modern life.

Braybrook Projects worked alongside the homeowners and Measured Architecture to rebuild and modernize the kitchen, upgrade the flooring on the main level, and added custom Hemlock paneling to wrap the existing structure, all while remaining sympathetic to the original Hollingsworth layout.
